About the Event
This month's book is The Optimist's Daughter by Eudora Welty.
After returning to New Orleans for her father's death, Laurel McKelva Hand and her silly young stepmother go back to the small Mississippi town where she grew up. Along in the old house, Laurel finally comes to an understanding of the past, herself, and her parents.
The following book is The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali.
