About the Event
This month's book is Klara and the Sun by Kazuo Ishiguro
Klara, an Artificial Friend (AF), is purchased as a companion for a sick teenage girl named Josie in a dystopian near-future where some children are genetically "lifted" for academic advantage. This story explores what it means to be human through Klara's unique, solar-powered perspective as she tries to understand and help Josie.
