Friday Night Shabbat Service on Zoom with Guest Speaker: Dr. Mona Khoury, Vice President of the Hebrew University

“We Are One: Latest Updates from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem" with Dr. Mona Khoury, Vice President of Hebrew University.

Join us in welcoming Professor Khoury at our Friday Zoom Shabbat service this week. She will take a few minutes to speak about her research regarding child and youth welfare and societal influences. She will also speak about the war and its impact on the University and students, many of whom are also soldiers, and how we can support them.

Even though we are not meeting in person, it is a tremendous honor to host Dr. Khoury and we are delighted to have her join us.

Dr. Mona Khoury is the Vice President for Strategy and Diversity and works in the field of Social Work and Social Welfare. In her role as VP for Diversity, her role is to encourage more students from communities that are underrepresented at the University, including ultra-Orthodox and Ethiopian Jews, Israeli Arabs, and people with disabilities. Her fields are Social Work and Social Welfare and her research focuses on teen delinquent behaviors in school, online and in society. Her research is aimed to expand the understanding of how children's behavior results from the interplay between personality, family, culture, etc.

2025 will mark the 100th anniversary of the Hebrew University, we are delighted to welcome Dr. Khoury.
