About the Event

This concert will feature a new symphonic work by Steven Rothstein, composer and Artistic Director of the Judaic Sacred Music Foundation (and cousin of CBE's new Religious School Lead Teacher, Melissa Cohne). The work incorporates melodies from the High Holy Days liturgy, taking the listener on a spiritual journey in four movements.

The program will also include:

  • Concerto in F by George Gershwin, with guest artist Neal Stulberg, Director of Orchestral Studies at UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music, on piano.
  • Selections from Bernard Herrmann’s score to the 1958 Hitchcock masterpiece Vertigo.

Pre-show talk at 3:20pm, concert begins at 4:00pm
