Sunday, September 12, 2021

12:30 AM

Congregation B'nai Emet

9 W Bonita Dr, Simi Valley, CA 93065, USA

Join us as we remember the fallen, celebrate our tireless first responders, and express support for the ongoing partnership between the U.S. and Israel in fighting terrorism around the world.

Congregation B'nai Emet will host a special ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks on the United States. The program will be on Saturday evening, September 11th, from 5:30-6:30 pm and is open to the community.  Rabbi Michele Paskow and Cantor Michael Russ will lead the ceremony with readings, songs, and a brief video of the the 9/11 memorial built in the hills of Jerusalem, showing solidarity between the U.S. and Israel in the fight against terrorism.  This magnificent memorial is the only one outside of the U.S. that has each victim's name listed.  Rabbi Paskow visited this site just last month on a Jewish National Fund Educators' trip.

The ceremony will also be an opportunity to thank and honor our local fire-fighters for their important work.

This is a free event, but RSVPs are required. Masks must be worn, and proof of vaccination must be shown at the door.

If you are interested in participating in the presentation of this program, please email Rabbi Michelle at michmich805@gmail.com.
